MATs work with the C&C program as a part of their preservice education. They assist the academic teachers and act as a support and resource to the youth who attend.
I am currently an Assistant Principal at Shiloh Middle
School in Gwinnett County. Before becoming an assistant principal, I held the positions of Parent Instructional Support Coordinator, and a 7th and 8th Language Arts teacher. I currently hold an Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Georgia. Prior to obtaining my Ed.S, I obtained my
Master of Arts in Teaching from Emory University, and my bachelor's degree from Northwestern University. I have had the pleasure of working with Challenge &
Champions since its inception on Emory's campus. I have held multiple positions including, counselor, teacher, and now as one of the MAT mentors. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my four year old son.
